Four generations in energy
NY Energy Ventures did not begin at a trading screen. It grew out of a family business four generations deep in the physical energy trade — from the heating-oil truck and the burner to power, gas and global commodity supply.
The Proscia family has worked in energy for four generations — beginning in the hands-on world of home heating oil and bulk fuel delivery across New York, and building, decade by decade, into the installation, supply and risk-management side of the business.
That inheritance shapes how the desk operates today. Owner and chief executive Michael Proscia grew up with product moving through real tanks, trucks and terminals — an operator's understanding of fuel, logistics and counterparties that now underpins every cargo the firm sources, verifies and delivers.
